A home is personal, a place that can tell you about your past-a chair that you inherited from your grandmother-without these personal artefacts of life, it can be the same as a Polaroid. The role of a designer is to help the occupant to materialize their dreams, and the character of the home should reflect the occupant.
　　Life style changes rapidly with society, and so does interior design. In the past, interior design was about showing off one’s wealth and social status. Today, it has become more about personal satisfaction, and the enjoyment of the space, since space is becoming more of a commodity. It is that special place to come back to, especially after a hard day, and it is that moment when you open the door, and you feel at peace in that space which is yours, a personal space that with different characters, i.e,; terrace, library, conservatory, patio, drawing room, attic, breakfast area, etc…
With the world of the internet, there is new interest in home office and the home itself has become a flexible living space, with design evolving and adapting.
