This book was written by He Zhenliang's wife Liang Lijuan, a senior journalist from the People's Daily. He Zhenliang, known as China's Mr.Olympics, is the honorary president of the Chinese Olympic Committee, former vice-president of the International Olympic Committee and former Deputy Minister of the State Sport Commission of China, the predecessor of the General Administration of Sport. 作者简介:
Liang Lijuan, from Guangdong Province, joined the student move ment in Shanghai during her school years. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, she was engaged in youth movement for many years. Later, Liang became a journalist and editor at the People's Daily, China's most influential newspaper, and was once head of the newspaper's UK bureau. She reported on a wide range of subjects, and continued to write even after her retirement in 1986. Liang has participated in Beijing's two bids for the Olympics. Her publications include Closing Ceremonies (translation), Olympic Revolution- The Biography of Juan Antonio Samaranch, (translation), The UK Looking from Inside - True Experiences of a Female Chinese Journalist, University of Cambridge, Collected Works of a Slow Bird, and A Century of the International Olympic Committee (translation), etc.
